Given the pace of change in our industry and the curveballs we’ve faced in the last 18+ months, we were thrilled to be recognized by Ryder System, Inc. for the commitment and investment we make into technology and innovation.
We hold ourselves to very high standards at TOC Logistics, but we don’t pursue accolades or awards (unless we are forced to by our marketing partner), because we’re focused on our customers’ ever-changing needs.
However, when we are recognized, we do get pretty darn excited about it.
Ryder Maritime Carrier of the Year
In December 2021, Ryder System, Inc. announced the winners of the 24th Annual Ryder Carrier Quality Awards. We were named Maritime Carrier of the Year for service quality and operational excellence based on a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, customer service, economic value, claims handling, and technology applications.
The 24th Annual Ryder Carrier Quality Awards were given to U.S. and Canadian carriers who excel in a wide variety of areas with a focus on rewarding innovation in the face of a year that was—let’s face it—absolutely crazy.
We Aren’t Stopping There
Awards are great, but our main focus is making the most informed decisions we can for our customers while looking in the mirror and challenging ourselves to find places where we can be better. It’s the reason we exist—to offer innovative solutions to supply chains’ biggest challenges.
In the coming year, our team will continue to do what we do best. We’ll work alongside our customers, vendor partners, and warehouses to come up with new ways to tackle the unpredictability of today’s supply chains. With trucker shortages, vaccine mandates, port congestion, and non-existent air cargo belly space, there’s no shortage of hurdles to overcome. We’re investing in technology and automation to afford us better visibility, enabling smarter decision making and preparedness and identifying potential delays that could derail a shipment’s reliable, scheduled transit. After all, it’s what the Maritime Carrier of the Year would do.
