The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is an initiative by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to strengthen international supply chains and optimize border security. CBP knows that the best cargo security can only be achieved through close cooperation with stakeholders and supply chain carriers, so they established the C-TPAT as a voluntary partnership program to implement best practices in shipping and security.
There are more than 11,400 C-TPAT partners today, and TOC is honored to be one of them. This partnership means that we are considered low-risk and receive benefits such as front of the line inspections, shorter wait times, and priority consideration at most U.S. border ports. International Air Transport Association (IATA) represents more than 280 airlines and 83% of total air traffic. The IATA creates industry policies and assures quality supply practices are being used with the world’s airlines and its partners.
