What our Certifications Mean for our Clients

May 10, 2018Supply Chain Management

At TOC Logistics we gladly highlight our seals of certification on our website because we are proud of their implications for our clients. We strive for quality and relevancy in our solutions, and each of our credentials is proof of these priorities.

Our certifications ensure that we comply with the stringent standards and requirements of today in order to be the best possible supplier for our clients. If you’ve ever wondered what exactly our certifications and licenses mean, and how they directly affect our clients, here is a quick breakdown:

Federal Maritime Commission

TOC Logistics has been licensed as an NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Container Carrier) and FF (Freight Forwarder) by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). This licensing assures TOC’s clients that we have an acclaimed affiliation with years of practice and expertise in ocean/air services, verifying that our clients are in trusted, credible care.

ISO 9001

The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) recognizes organizations for their quality management systems (QMS). ISO looks at things like customer focus, process management, technology integration, quality of resources, and even procedures for resolving customer complaints in order to determine if an organization’s QMS is worthy of the ISO 9001 certification.

In 2015, TOC achieved ISO 9001, validating our demonstrated commitment to customers and our globally recognized quality of service. With an ISO 9001 badge, our clients know they are receiving custom solutions and highly economical services at TOC. Additionally, clients are assured that TOC integrates recent technologies to optimize their practices and remain progressive in today’s industry.

C-TPAT

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is an initiative by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to strengthen international supply chains and optimize border security. CBP knows that the best cargo security can only be achieved through close cooperation with stakeholders and supply chain carriers, so they established the C-TPAT as a voluntary partnership program to implement best practices in shipping and security.

There are more than 11,400 C-TPAT partners today, and TOC is honored to be one of them. This partnership means that we are considered low-risk and receive benefits such as front of the line inspections, shorter wait times, and priority consideration at most U.S. border ports. These benefits contribute directly to TOC’s unparalleled performance and guaranteed delivery times. Additionally, clients can rest assured that with the C-TPAT license TOC is ethical and actively contributing to national border security.

IATA

International Air Transport Association (IATA) represents more than 280 airlines and 83% of total air traffic. The IATA creates industry policies and assures quality supply practices are being used with the world’s airlines and its partners.

TOC Logistics is partnered with IATA in a direct contract connection. This means that TOC is up to speed with the latest airline practices and is granted top-quality service from many airlines. This equips TOC to make the best choices for their clients and guarantee the most time-efficient and cost-efficient solutions.

Each of these certifications are indicators of our dedication to providing the best services possible for our clients, and our hope is that clients see these badges and feel peace of mind in the quality of their care.
